KU
Ku play an instrumental rock fusion with one foot firmly in the turn of the
60's-70's, and the other looking at new frontiers. It largely seems to be
extracts from much bigger jam session, so I guess it's destined to become
a "grower". They reminded me of: Wolfgang Dunner's Etcetera, Exmagma, Uli
Trepte's Spacebox, Dedalus, Miles Davis, Mushroom.
Alan Freeman (Audion - UK)
In Ku's dreamy and reflective music there's a clear jazz influence, mixed
with a 70's psychedelic touch. It is a really experimental band, who'a uneasy
sound I love and appreciate. Their music will make you think, and isn't it
thought that makes us human?
Francesco Simoncelli (Psycho! - I)
Their abstract and sometimes cybernetic sounds are really astonishing! Just
listen to "Koroko kara koroko" or "How are you Eugene?" to taste Ku's skills
in improvisation. Tumultuous and bizarre fragments like "Cosmic tea part I
and II wisely mix Kraut and post rock, the final result being a difficult
but really fascinating record. (Noize - I)
